Relocation of the Friesenberg stop and extension of the double tracks at Borrweg (approx. 2027)

SZU is relocating the Friesenberg stop and extending the existing double tracks to bring the station into line with the Disability Equality Act (BehiG) and current customer requirements, as well as to improve punctuality.

Expansion of Zurich HB SZU station (approx. 2026)

SZU is expanding Zurich HB SZU station to bring it into line with the Disability Equality Act (BehiG) and current customer requirements, and is thus meeting a key prerequisite for coping with the sharp rise in passenger numbers.

Procurement of new trains for the S4 line (approx. 2027)

SZU is procuring new, state-of-the-art RBe 560 multiple-unit trains for the Sihltalbahn railway’s S4 line. They will replace the old rolling stock and are an important prerequisite for coping with the sharp rise in passenger numbers.

Construction of double tracks and the new Wildpark-Höfli railway station (approx. 2027)

SZU is building additional double tracks and relocating the Wildpark-Höfli railway station. This will meet a key prerequisite for the increased frequency of trains planned for every 15 minutes/7.5 minutes, as well as improve punctuality.

Decarbonisation of the Zimmerbergbus network (from 2027)

SZU will replace all its diesel-powered buses with buses that have environmentally-friendly, energy-efficient drive technologies in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and save energy costs.

Renovation of the Adliswil railway station building (approx. 2027)

SZU is renovating the railway station building in Adliswil to ensure the site meets current customer requirements and to make travel by train more pleasant.
